Eyelash extension

Have you always wished that you had longer lashes? Are you tired of applying mascara and using eyelash curlers but never quite achieving the intended look? If you have answered yes to both questions, there’s a high likelihood that the only long term solution to your problem is getting eyelash extensions.

But what exactly are eyelash extensions?

An eyelash extension is a synthetic eyelash that we will attach to your natural eyelash using a special adhesive. Eyelash extensions are popular amongst people who wish to give their lashes a fuller look without turning to mascara. And because these eyelash extensions are usually curled, you will not need to use an eyelash curler either. Eyelash extensions last for as long as your natural eyelashes do, that is, if your eyelash naturally falls out, the attached extension will fall out as well. For this reason, if you happen to get eyelash extensions, you will be required to make appointments every month for touch-up.

Getting ready for eyelash extensions

One critical thing that you must do before we get your eyelash extensions attached is to remove all your eye makeup. This is to allow the extensions to adhere properly. Also, you do not want a situation where you get your extensions done while your eyes are still laden with old makeup. This is not sanitary.

How long before you require new eyelash extensions?

This majorly depends on how fast your eyelashes grow, but an average estimation is 4-6 weeks.

Eyelash extensions care tips

Once we have attached your eyelash extensions, there are several things that you need to know as far as after-care is concerned. For starters, you should not wet your eyelashes immediately after getting your extensions done. This means that if you had planned on going for a swim or hitting the gym after your beauty treatment, you need to reschedule for later.

Also, you should avoid rubbing and scratching the eyelashes as this will lead to damage. It is also important to steer clear from harsh makeup remover and eyelash curlers as these will cause the extensions to break, bend and even fall off.

Can you combine eyelash extensions with eyelash tinting and eyelash perm?

We do not recommend using eyelash perm on eyelash extensions, as the perm solution may dissolve the adhesive which will cause the extensions to fall off. Also, if you have light-colored eyelashes, the extensions will be a darker color, which will eliminate the need for eyelash tinting.

Longer eyelashes frame your eyes so much better and give your eyes a great look. If you have always been worried about your thin, light-colored eyelashes, worry no more. It’s time to give the mascara a break and embrace the more long term solution of eyelash extensions.
